8700C lockup after soft reset

Hello All -
I did a soft reset (alt-cap-del) on my Cingular 8700c today after I noticed I wasn't getting email. I've done this in the past without issue across several models of BBs and with this one too.
However, today it didn't come fully back. It went past the gray startup/hourglass to the blue Cingular "raising the bar" background and hourglass, and there it sits.
Have tried soft reset and pulling battery to no avail.
Any suggestions?
