Building an application for OS 4.1+, I've come across an interface issue with the trackball. The method 'trackwheelRoll' in both Screen and TrackwheelListener don't differentiate between a left-scroll and a right-scroll (both are sent 'amount' parameters of 0).

Is there a way in the 4.1 API to differentiate between left- and right-scroll movements? I'm guessing not (as the trackball was a 4.2-specific addition), but they may have done something to know which event happened.

I'm also looking for a way to do this. I used JDE 4.3.0, but I wasn't able to load the app onto older phones so I want to make a JDE 4.0 version as well.
