hi hope somebody can help out when i get somebody phoneing me i can hear them ok but when i want to play my ring tones all i get is crackling from them hope somebody can put light on this ive ordered a new speaker as i was told it might have got water into it

Water damage would definitely be a cause of it.

You only ever hear the cracking when playing ringtones? Not at any other time including calls, notification sounds, other music?
