my storm took a dump on me...

so yesterday i was useing the storm to browse a few sites and it got stuck...
this doesnt happen very often but it has a few times. im tired of waiting so i pull the battery... after that all i got was the l.e.d. flashing 4 times. phone would not power on at all... i take it i should have done that...
anywho, i go to the verizon store and get it replaced on the spot.
now...
it seems my new phone is a bit slower than my old one? i have the current software, i did the memory log wipe, i deleted apps i dont use... what could be the problem?
