Hey folks, After carrying a Blackberry for 5 Years, I finally made the decision to convert to a new droid. As I miss my Blackberry a ton, what I miss the most is the ringtones. After using the same ringtones for years I am having a difficult time getting used to using different tones. does anyone know how I can extract the default ringtones from my storm before i sell it? I really want my BB tones back :(

I don't think they are transferable or extractable. They seem to be locked to the device / OS.

How does the droid stack up? Was it a good choice?

use desktop manager which includes media manager to remove the ringtones and copy them to a file on your pc. To the Droid....no clue.

I absolutely love it! Im very happy with my decision. The app support it's a phenominal. They are some things i miss from the blackberry, for example the suretype keyboard, of course the ringtones push email and most importanly blackberry messenger! But with the exception of blackberry messenger and the ringtones I can get an app for everything else.

The ringtones are a fixable issue too. You can copy notifications to the folder /media/notifications/ on the SD card.

I went Android for about 3 weeks. For multimedia Android is truly superior. For working the way I do, nothing comes close to BlackBerry.
