About a week ago I realized that the little icon that should appear on my home screen when someone leaves me a voicemail message has disappeared, so I have no way of knowing if I have voicemails unless I call the number to listen for them. Any way to get the icon back?

I assume you have a 9700 since you're posting in the 9700 Forum. However, your profile says 8800 and AT&T. Are you still on AT&T?

Did you try to activate Visual Voice Mail?

I'm on T-Mobile now with an 9700. Haven't been on this site for a while. Where do I find my profile to update it?

What is visual voice mail and how do I activate it?

For the profile on the site, go to the upper left and go to UserCP. Then go to edit profile.

On your 9700 there should be an icon for Visual VoiceMail. You may have it hidden or it may be in settings.

I just looked at every icon in every folder - don't see one called visual voice mail

I did find my profile and updated it.

OK - I feel pretty stupid. I just did what I should have done a week ago - turned it off and took out the battery for a few minutes, then replaced it and powered up again. The icon's back!
