Default Moving BB email addy

Please Login to Remove!

SO I got a 9000 late last week and wanted to add my BB email addy (ends in "att.blackberry.net") to my phone through the email service. Tried this just as I would any other email addy I wanted to have come through my phone, but continue to have issues with it. Was or am I supposed to unload it from the old phone or something? Do I call RIM? What is the process for this? Thanks for any help you can provide!

Wirelessly posted (Its All About the U!)

I thought your carrier address was automatic. Do you have a data plan?

I think the problem is that you're adding the address. If you had a BB before then on your BIS page, the email address is already setup, but you need to "change device" (change the PIN and IMEI of the device) on the BIS page, and it will then setup the email address on your new BB.

BIS-Blackberry Internet Service
this is what allows you to setup a blackberry email address.

go here: BlackBerry Internet Service
you should have a username and password from when you setup the blackberry email address originally.
login in and go to "change device"
