For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to invoke an sms message from a blackberry widget. I can do it with email... I can invoke a phone call.. but no text.

Kind of frustrating when you can call web services and put db results on a page from 1000's of miles away, but can't start a simple text message. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this?

I looked at using a phonegap extension to do this, but that hasn't worked out very well so far.

Any thoughts would be most appreciated.
