one at a time. since the BB address book stores many numbers and a great deal of information you have to copy from address book > SIM one at a time. you will also have multiple contacts on your SIM for those names you have multiple numbers on.

Personally i have 0 contacts on my SIM and keep everything backed up with desktop manager. Just curious why you would have contacts on a SIM.

A smoother and more whole precaution would be to use Desktop Manager > Backup; and Desktop Manager > Sync.

Copy one at at time to the SIM by selecting that contact > Copy to SIM.

I would also like to have my contacts on my SIM, for when I switch phones. The bad thing is, like mentioned, it would be annoying to have 3 Tom's and 2 Nancy's, plus no way to store their email addresses on the SIM. It would be cool if a new SIM card were to be made with this capability (and the BB had the ability to copy all of the contact to the SIM at one time). Also, I remember with Nextel, I could upload all of my contacts via internet to my online address book. It was convenient when I got a new phone or switched to a new phone.

BTW, I have all of my contacts backed up on my computer, too.

Yes, standard phone. I have a cheap-o Nokia 2610 that I use for skiing, biking, etc. If I could download my contacts OTA or with the SIM card, it would be so much more convenient.
