I have the tour 9630 and my friend had a different blackberry but her sms were in thread form. I believe I have the most recent software on account of my phone is under 3 months old. Is there anyway to get my SMS like this? Also while your at it, what do you think of the new bbm software, some say its bad some say its good. Should I download the upgrade or not? But focus on the SMS.

No, the software you have has threaded sms. No way to change it

Go to the OS upgrade 'sticky' at the top of this forum. Follow the directions there and upgrade to the new 5.0 OS. Before doing that, read the post below yours. There are some screen shots posted that may help you decide about the threaded sms.

I made this jump recently and the threaded SMS is awesome. It's exactly what I've been lobbying for (whining about) for years. Just like the old Palm OS version or the iPhone version. Only one SMS message in your inbox for each conversation, and you simply keep adding to it as you receive/reply. And it looks like a BBM conversation. There is no downside to this upgrade for SMS.

Have you had it where it puts a message from one person into another person's thread? This has happened to me multiple times and is driving me crazy! But it doesn't seem that others are having the same problem. I have reloaded a couple of times from a full wipe and don't understand what is wrong.
