Default Wifi at McDonalds

Please Login to Remove!

I've got an 8520. I don't have the data plan. I've got wifi set up and works fine at home. I've been to 2 different McDonalds and tried to access free wi-fi there (only places I've been so far with free wi-fi). It shows a signal but won't connect.

I go to Set Up Wi-Fi Connection and Scan For Networks. It finds the signal, allows me to save it. At one the connection failed. At another it was a success. Couldn't get wi-fi at either though.

On the Manage Connections Screen, I get the white checkmark next to Wi-fi but I'm not getting the green check on the right side (a white dash instead).

What do I need to do?

Thanks

I don't know if it's the same at every McDonalds, but the ones by me you need to accept the terms and conditions before you can browse using wifi.
Just try to browse to any website using the hotspot browser and you should get the T&C page where you have to check a box saying you Agree.

Wifi for me tends to be weird as well with my 8520. AT home it works fine but at Mcdonalds locations its kind of scketcy at times. Ohh blackberries. :/

Wirelessly posted (White and Nerdy)

Its not the phone. At mcd, you need to accept the terms before u use it. Some make you pay....

To accept them, connect to the wifi, then open the browser, go to bookmarks,go to the wifi services, and then to login. You can figure out the rest
