I have a user at my job site who is complaining about receiving truncated attachments. The latest case was when he received a 7k power point. The BB said the message was truncated at 304454 bytes after he did a "more all". This also happens when he receives attachments in other formats, word, excell, mp3, etc.

Now, to me, that seems normal. Right? I mean that's a huge file, so obviously the BB would truncate the message. Am I on the right train of thought here? He wants to know if there's a setting on the BES that can change this.

7k is not big. I forget the maximum, but I know I receive 2mb attached files often.

But then again 7k does not equal 304454 bytes. That would be 304KB, which should still be good.

Is his on a BES that limits attachments?

Yes, its limited to receiving at 3mb. He is low on available flash memory. He's running several third party apps as well as SMIME and a few other apps. Could this lack of flash memory be causing the truncated messages?
