Default Browser - web addresses

Please Login to Remove!

Hi

Just picked up my first blackberry today... a 8320 but am having trouble with the web part.

I'm on Orange (UK) and am connected to the internet ok. But when I go online I only seem to get Orange's main web page, and can't work out if I can type in web addresses?

My old phone was a Motorola A1200 on vodaphone, and there there was a line at the top of the screen to type in any web page address. But I can't seem to find any way of doing this on the Orange browser???

Sorry if this is a dumbie question, but any advice would help!

Sue

If you press the menu then select "go to". Or, if you have a standard qwerty keyboard, just press the letter "g" which will pop up a dialogue box where you can enter a web address.

Thanks guys - I've sussed that out now.

I think the real problem is that Orange will only let me use their browser. I can't access eg the blackberry site from the phone. How stupid is that?

Even when I type in the web address, I can't get there.

I phoned the Orange helpline and they said I can only use the Orange browser, and if I want to download stuff from the Blackberry site, I have to do it via the computer.

Just a quick restriction Orange didn't bother to tell me about... & no Operamini for me. :(
