Exclamation Help !! PhoneListener lost if i do System.exit(0

Please Login to Remove!

hi all,

in my application, there r two entry points

1st registers phoneListner at phone startup( autostartup )
2nd lounches application manually..

now when i use system.exit(0) to exit from my app, i also lost my registered phoneListener....a big prob !!!

any solution????

This is expected behavior. Why are you exiting the application?

i hv used it just because i didnt know any other method to close the app..
is thr any way to close the app still, listners,backgroung threads wont die?

Hi,

You dont close the application,because whenever start the application in simulator ,that time the PhoneListener is activated, otherwise you lose the phoneListener.so you dont close the applicaton.

That depends on what type of application you are running. You can call requestBackground() instead, if your application extends UiApplication.

On your "main screen" (the last screen on the display stack), override the close() method to request background, instead of closing the screen.
