Default curve browser security issue?

Please Login to Remove!

when i try to access online banking via my curve, on my banks homepage it says due to security reasons my device cannot connect to mobile banking. I notice that in the top right corner of the browser there is an unlocked pad lock icon that appears often on my desktop computer when I'm viewing unsecured sites. is there a way i can change the settings on the browser of the curve to be secure on this particular site? i have no problems using the browser outside of my banks homepage.

Many banks have many layers of security which require certain browers. You can try turning on Internet Explorer emulation and Java Script support. In the Browser choose Options > Browser Config > Then set those two settings. It may work.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8310/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102 UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0)

My bank doesn't allow me to access my account either. I have bank of america and love it. Though this worked flawlessly on my motorola Q with windows mobiles 5

You'd think the blackberry wouldn't have an issue with this. Seeing as most of their users would want access like this

You could also try changing your TLS setting to Handheld rather than the default Proxy. It lets your handheld make better decisions about secure web connections.

Located in Options > Security > TLS

Cheers.

Cool Opera Mini 4

Don't sweat the small stuff, just download Opera Mini 4 http://www.operamini.com/download/wap/blackberry/ from your BB.

I have an 8310 (AT&T). Using Opera Mini 3 as a browser, which enables JAVA. This is not a secure browser. Any suggestions to get a secure browser that is Java enabled?

Default Curve Browser Security

To: Mrjerome,
Many thanks for your response regarding Opera Mini 4 for better browser security. Accoding to their website, Opera Mini 4 is not compatible with the 8310. Any other suggestions?
