What profile are you editing, and what profile do you have active?

Also, try a battery pull.

I created a profile a long time ago named "everyday" that used to work... it is the profile that is active and the profile I am editing.

Battery pull didn't work nor did sync with desktop manager... perhaps a short fast flight into that wall ahead

Haha, not just yet. I would say try to upgrade your OS. This will break your connection with your BES. I would consult with your IT staff before attempting this.
