I want to open browser bookmarks from bookmark HTML file stored on microSD card, instead of using bookmark tree inside the browser on BB.
I don't use native BB browser, and I'm allergic to Microsoft products (using IE only for Windows updates), so I can't follow the default RIM/Microsoft bookmark sync procedure.
Some desktop browsers, like Opera, allow converting and exporting their bookmarks to HTML file. This way you can have a quick access to all bookmarks from your desktop PC, without the need to create bookmarks in a browser on BB manually from scratch.
In addition, you will avoid unexpected issues like unreliable bookmark backups, bookmarks lost during version upgrades, page freeze-ups when number of bookmarks is high, new bookmarks refusing to save, etc. Those problems crop up on some BB devices with some mobile browsers, like Opera Mini.
To test the concept, I placed an HTML bookmark file generated by the desktop version of Opera 9.62 browser on microSD card, and opened the file from native BB Explorer. As it turns out, it opens as "media", at least on my ancient BB with os 4.5:

There are two problems:
1) The bookmarks are not sorted alphabetically, they are sorted by date they were created. Maybe it's different with the latest versions of Opera, I have v9.62.
2) Spacebar and Shift+Space won't work to move up and down through the page, so you need to scroll with the trackball, which might be a pain if you happen to have a thousand bookmarks.
I would be interested in any third party app that would at least resolve the two issues mentioned above.
