Default how do i know that my data is not running 24/7

Hi

i just got my bb and i was wondering after i finish using the bbm or internet, is there a way to know that u have stopped recieving data, so my data count doesnt keep racking up 24/7.

The little two way arrow icon in the corner of the homescreen. Your phone "talk" to the network even when you're not using it. But that data is minimal.

That "two way arrow" also shows the fact you're: making a call, and receiving an SMS.
So its not an indication of data; just network activity.

If you want to make sure you're not using data, and don't need push services (email or BBM) options - mobile network - data services = OFF.

Make sure that you close any app that you are using, particularly data apps, rather than just exit out.

But keep in mind that email always runs, but that should be a huge data "hog".

My mistake, I thought the OP had indicated he wasn't doing anything else. I was then referring to basic "idle" mode.
