I am going to school, I take a lot of my classes online. For our online communication with the teachers we use something called Blackboard Learning. It's pretty neat. We use to use PeopleSoft, but not any more.

It is such a struggle to try to long on to Blackboard from my Blackberry! The only place other than the computer that I have ever been able to long on to it from was from an iPhone. And, sorry but I'm not about to get one just because I can log in to one site with ease on it.

I want to know does anyone know if there will be an app or an easier way to long on to Blackboard Learning in the near future? I have Googled it and haven't had much luck. I did find some people saying that they were able to sign on to Blackboard with Opera Mini. I have tried this on my 8900 and it only worked the 1st time and didn't work that well. I can only sign in but can't go to my learning modules.

If there would be an app for it soon, that would be a huge help.

Anyone else use Blackboard or know about an app for it?

I have been asking this question for a long time. As Blackberry technology improved, so did blackboard. There seems to be an issue with java.

I have it doesn't work on the Opera browser. I can sometimes log in but not open my classes or if I open my classes none of my learning modules will open. So Ill be "in class", but I can't open any of the lectures or assignments.

You tried Beta 5.0 for Opera I suppose?

This has been a desire for BB for sometime!

I have yet to get a bb to work

When I was selling phones that was quite often a desire for the teachers and students that were customers

I teach 8 to 10 courses a year using Blackboard. The Blackboard version from 5 yrs ago would work on the newer BB's The issue is catching up. As soon as the BB catches up, Blackboard advances again

Um is there a pda area of blackboard? My school does not use blackboard but rather a system called "angel". But there is a pda area of the system that you can pretty much do everything from a pda that you could on a desktop. Its much more blackberry friendly.

I think there is an area to download work in a delayed format. I am not sure. I have not tried Opera Mini 5 Beta
