Default Bold 9000 "Sort Of Hangs"

Please Login to Remove!

Here's the deal. I have a Bold 9000 running Rogers 4.6.0.303 (Platform 4.0.0.248) and from time to time it will appear to "hang." Here's the interesting part: while the keyboard and the trackball appear unresponsive, the alt and shift keys will work as I can see them respond in the top right. I also can "three finger salute" the device to get everything working.

Do I have a bum device or is something that I can fix on my own?

Update your OS. Everything that happens as you describe is normal. If your hanging tho, you may have low memory. Options>status. What's the free file?

31826324 bytes is what's free.

I've got the latest official Rogers OS AFAIK, but I'll check.

I don't recommend an OS upgrade until we figure out what it might be. Sounds to me like a memory problem.

When was the last time you did a battery pull?

What apps are running in the background, especially data intensive apps?

Hmmm. Well, with that free file, you shouldn't have a freeze. Do you notice it when you do something specifically, or just randomly.

It's random from what I can tell.
