4 contact list

This particular phone has 4 desktop list under contacts.
The first 3 say that wireless sync not available and the 4th has wireless sync yes or no. It is set to yes but ther are only 15 name in the list so outlook has read that and made chages to his contacts.
Can u have more than one contact list?, can we consolidate them?.
How can i get the option for yes no on thse 3 other contacts lists?
