Default Movies on Bold - Questions

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

My bold should be coming this week and I wanted to grab a couple of Movies to put on it.

But I just realised, I dont know:
1. What format is best?
2. What resolution to use?

Also, I see lots of movies around for iPod/iPhone, would these be right?

Basically I just want to get them in the optimum format for the Bold.

Thanks in advance, any help would be great.

Thanks

I just copied a movie from the dektop onto the device and a dialogue box came up giving me a few options. I chose optimal format and it copied it over. It is the best display of a movie on a phone I've ever seen

"Wow" is now overused. Therefore, I will use "Magic bananas" instead.

The best format to me is H.264

I use the FREE, yes FREE version of Any Video Converter. Got it from CNET Downloads. Works beautifully. It will download and covert videos from YouTube, and any avi's you have lying around.

On my Mac (PC version too), I just use Handbrake to rip the DVD to a 300-400 MB mp4 file. Works great!

I can vouch for Handbreak too. Just started using the program and I'm sooo impressed. I've got some of my favorite movies on my 8 gig card now. Haven't had a real opportunity to watch them but to show off the phone.

My only problem is that theres no zoom on videos. At least none that I know of. My iPod Touch can do this. Hopefully this feature will be added later.
