Default Help - My BB keeps spontaneously rebooting

Please Login to Remove!

About a month ago, I removed my battery to add a few mp3's to the SIM card - something I've done a bunch of times without problem in the past year. But this time, ever since I reinserted the card and battery, my BB keeps spontaneously rebooting/resetting several times each day. It's very annoying! Has anyone else had this problem? Anyone know a quick fix? Thanks VERY much.

I certainly hope u added them to the media card, not the sim.

On your blackberry go to options>media card. Hit menu and format the card. Plug in the device thru the computer and then add them to the music folder which will be created after format (card:/blackberry/music

Yes, sorry, I did mean the media card. If I reformat the card, that means I'll lose everything that was on it, right? The mp3's I don't care about, I can put those back on the media card anytime. But I do have some pics and videos on the card that I want to keep. Can I burn them onto a CD so I can transfer them back to the media card later? Or does the BB have enough memory that I can save them to the phone as opposed to the media card? Thanks so much.

Okay, I reformatted the card and got all my stuff back on it. Hopefully this will work. Thanks very much for the tip.

Yes you will lose everything if you reformat the card. For your pics and videos, just save them to a folder on your computer and you can transfer them back later. You can do this via mass storage mode if that's easier and you won't need to take the media card out of the device.

Hey man, you're a genius. The reformatted card is working perfectly. No reboots! Thanks!
