Default Without BES, how do I sync Outlook Express Contacts & Calendar?

Please Login to Remove!

Do I just have to connect the BB to my laptop and sync it that way?

Yes. Use BlackBerry Desktop Manager on your PC.
You want to use Outlook on your PC, not Outlook Express.

Outlook definitely would be a better solution. OE doesn't have a calendar, correct?

OE does have a calendar. Will OE work with BB sync, or do I HAVE to use Outlook?

DM 4.2 SP2, at least, has option for OE for address book. If you are using 4.3, then maybe not.

Also, on my system, there is no OE option for calendar. Haven't used OE in a long time so don't know much about it nowadays.

I take that back, I have Windows Mail. It is what comes with Vista now. It looks just like past versions of Outlook Express, and there is a calendar that comes with it.

Does anyone know if I'll be able to sync it with a BB?

If you have the blackberry, the PC, and desktop manager installed on the PC, then start desktop manager, connect the blackberry, launch the sync module from within desktop manager, proceed to configure your sync options and see what is there. From what I gather, though, your Windows Mail isn't an option, but don't trust me.
