"Best"? Best in what way? What is your goal to save battery power? How about plugging it in?

Yes standby is the best way to conserve power.

Yes alarms still work. When you go into standby mode it will tell you when it is going to come back on for the alarm.

An hour? If they are all queued in an hour you could receive over 5,000 messages.

Anyways I am the same, I just leave mine on "Phone Only". I NEVER turn my phone off (asside from when I am swapping my SIM between my phones).

Why don't you want to plug it in when it's at 100%? It knows when it's full and stops charging automatically.

I dunno, I always thought it was bad for the phone if you have it plugged in when its already fully charged, like it wastes the battery

No, not at all. It won't hurt the battery. I keep mine in a charging pod on my desk all day at work.

Dan,

From reading your previous posts, you have a lot to learn about the device you purchased.
This will help clear up your misconceptions about the battery

In all seriousness, have you read the manual for your device? Most of the threads and posts you've made are answered in the manual for the Bold.

Did you buy it from the AT&T store? They all come with a manual.

Most of these modern devices have a smart chip with their battery, so as previously you can't overcharge or damage it through too much charging. And lith-ion batteries especially like to be topped off.
