Default SIngle user sync issues

Please Login to Remove!

I have one user that cannot sync calendar BB>BES/Exchange. One of our highest profile users.

He can add calendar to Exchange and it will push down fine, just not the other direction.

Wireless calendar is enabled (I tried disabling/re-enabling- saw the change on the BES) but the issue continues. We've done aver

He has been working fine since Apr of 2008, so this is new. No new device, no backend changes. I'm confident that it is something on his phone, but I'm at a total loss. This user is not known as a tinkerer.

I'm also not aware of a setting to disable sync up from the device- all or nothing.

Thanks

assuming the software config is ok, because is worked in the past,
Did you try what happens if you backup his calendar to a pst file,
then use outlook to search for all entries in the calendar,
delete them.
If it works afterwards, you would know that some entries in the calender are the source of the problem.

You can always erase the phone and activate again - have you tried this ?

This is one user that I cannot wipe his handheld (Chief of our police department) unless really, really (really!) needed.

His calendar is fine on the desktop, and new appointments sync down from the desktop to his handheld without issue. It's up from the handheld that never sync to Exchange, and of course it's only this one user.

It's only calendaring as well. email is fine.

We'll try the backup the calendar route so that BB cal is clean then add an appointment today.

You would loose no really important information when you wipe the BB, because, the bes by default performs a continous backup of the bb (if not disabled).
Assuming, the device is in sync with outlook, or, what outlook displays is correct, after a wipe with BES 4.1:
Existing mails will be not restored (your could restore them from a backup later), but:
- notes, calendar, adressbooks, browser bookmarks are restored
- importand settings are restored, like the arragenment of the icons, autotext database, signature, owner information, phone settings, language etc. etc.
You loose all tird party applications, but the settings are retained.

- Cookies and browser history is lost

if you make a complete manual backup, and then erase the bb, i cannot think of anything important which the owner will be missing.

The issue becomes access not the data issues. I might be able to schedule something this week

Thanks.
