Default Do any other data services work during voice calls?

Please Login to Remove!

I remember Verizon and/or RIM saying that the Storm would be able to browse the internet; send/receive emails; etc. WHILE on the phone. I spend a lot of time on long conference calls, and one of the reasons I got the Storm was because I thought these other features would continue to work!

Currently, emails are sent/received only after a call ends... Maps, instant messenger aps and web browsers are useless as well.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there any hope that this will be resolved?

Thanks

Correction. EVDO (which is also 3G, not to be confused with HSDPA) does not allow simultaneous voice/data.

So, is the best solution to carry a 2nd device just for voice calls? My employer only supports Verizon devices.
