Everytime I turn on my blackberry, the wireless is by default, turned off, so I have to manually turn it on to make and recieve calls whenever I turn it on. It is an unlocked phone, if that matters. Is there a way to have it automatically turn on whenever I turn on my blackberry?

Also, I'm getting a bunch of spam email. Is there such thing as a Blackberry spam filter? I saw one called Antair, but I don't know if that's any good. Are there any spam filters that are free and/or good?

Thanks a lot.

No. When I turn on the phone, I have to go to the menu and manually turn the wireless on, and it's a hassle sometimes, since I forget.

Also, I'm just getting a lot of spam email from one of my email accounts. Usually I have Microsoft Outlook on my computer to filter out the spam, and the spam filter on my email account is bad. So I was wondering if there was something that could block spam on my blackberry.

Also, how are you turning it off, with the power button, or the icon? And is it full power off, or turn off? I'm not sure it makes a difference in this case, but it would be interesting to try the other instead of what you are doing now.

I just tested full power off a few times and my 8700 came on with the radio on. I do remember once or twice having to turn the radio on, but that was the exception.

t1box135, you said this is every time. Are you in the same place when you do, and is the signal there perhaps poor?

Have you tried a hard reset to see if it fixes it?

I hold the power button until a sign comes up that it's shutting down, so I think it's a full power turn off. My area has 5 bars reception, so I don't know if it's a signal problem.
