Default Upgrading OS

Please Login to Remove!

And here is my 3 rd stupid question of the day:

I have a 8100 locked on Orange Spain.
OS: 4.2.0.64 ( Platform: 2.2.0.37 ).

Can I upgrade to the last OS ( 71 as far as I can remember ), or should I wait for a SPECIFIC OS for my carrier?

Thanks in advance.

- Download the OS upgrade
- Execute the program you just downloaded
-Locate and delete VENDOR.XML from your PC C: drive
- Restart Desktop Manager....

When you upgrade the OS does it reset your Pearl? I am coming from a Windows Pocket PC and when I used to flash the rom I would lose all my information.

The upgrade process does a backup (as the first step) and a restore (as the last step). The only thing you will lose is data that is not backed up (like BBWeather does not back itself up). You will not lose any PIM information.
