Default How to get rid of water spots on Bold screen?!?!

Please Login to Remove!

I just recently tried applying a Best Skins Ever screen protector and noticed that I now have water spots on the screen. Has anyone else had this problem with water getting into the screen? I took the protector off, but the water spots are in the screen. I have not even had this phone a month so let me know what I should do to get rid of the water or if there is a free replacement on these within 30 days?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

There's a video of doing this at blackberrysync.com/2008/08/learn-how-to-disassemble-your-blackberry-bold/

My question is does the keyboard frontpiece have a plastic screen cover that is covering the actual screen? I'm not sure if I'd just have to remove the front keyboard part from the screen/motherboard and I would be able to clean up the water here? Or is it probably much deeper than this and inside the actual screen part at the end of this video? Let me know what you think I should do, I don't want to mess it up.

I too would like to know the answer to this question... I have the same problem after applying my InvisibleSHIELD. When I first applied the screen protector and turned the phone on, there were very large (almost half the screen) dark splotches on my screen. After letting the phone dry under a heat lamp for 24 hours, the splotches were all gone, but there are still small lightened specks scattered across a portion of my screen where the splotches were. I've had the phone in a sealed plastic bag with silica gel, sitting under a heat lamp, for two days now, and I haven't really noticed any improvement.

I considered taking apart the phone but I noticed that AT&T (or RIM) has put a sticker over one of the 6 screws on the back, so that they'll know that the warranty is voided if the phone is tampered with. I also bought the phone less than a month ago, so I'm considering attempting to take it in for a replacement.. :(

There is no screen covering the display like on other models. I'm hearing more and more cases of this happening. I put BSE's on 4 Bolds and not one spot but I use very little liquid when applying. Im not sure there is a remedy for this if it doesnt dry and disappear on its own
