Hi All, have changed from my old Pearl to a new Bold. Loaded the new desktop software, have used device switch wizard and mostly seem to be up and running.

The Bold seems to sync ok with my PC for contacts etc using the USB cable.

Trouble is when I go to Media, the Media Manager is greyed out, so I cant swap images to/from phone to PC. Any ideas why?

Did you download your Desktop Manager form the RIM website? The more recent versions of the Desktop Manager are availible either with or without Media Manager. Might want to check to see if you loaded a version without Media Manager included.

You dont have to use Media Manager to get Picture/music to/from your device. Turn on mass storage mode (Options > Memory > Mass Storage Mode When Connected > Change to yes or prompt) This way you will see your device as a drive and treat it like it was a flash drive (well it actually is one) don't install that bloated Media Manager
