Default alkaline portable chargers, any ideas ?

Please Login to Remove!

i'm looking for a good quality charger that uses alkaline batteries for the storm, so far i've found this one...

Blackberry Storm Portable AA Battery Charger uses TipExchange

i'm not sure if i should buy one of these, just looking to make sure that these accessories don't fry the phone or battery....

any other brands out there ? i saw one on boxwave, but i can't be sure if it has a micro-usb tip to plug directly into the phone....

My only experience with them was pre-blackberry. I was at a conference in Las Vegas and forgot my charger at home. There was no place anywhere close to purchase a charger that would work for my phone. I did find that the alkaline battery charger worked so I bought one and proceeded to go through so many AA batteries over a two day period that I must have looked like the energizer bunny strung out on crack! Hey you got any batteries for sale? I will take ALL of them please! ;p;!

thanks for the input...

i think it's just easier to do a car charger, only downside would be i'd need to leave the phone charging in the car when the battery drains...

alkaline chargers would be more stealthy, since i can tuck it all away in the glovebox...

I've used the mini-USB Energizer Chargers on Blackberry devices, they work great but slow. I haven't seen any for micro-USB yet but I would imagine it would work if you have a Mini-to-Micro-USB adapter. They use lithium batteries only. I've tried to use alkaline with it and no joy.
