My husband has a 8703e BB with service through Verizon. This is a corporate issued phone and he is on a BES. We have called both Verizon and his BES administrator about this issue.

The issue is... When someone from his contact list or address book calls him and the phone is locked, only the phone number shows on the screen. The contact name doesn't show up.

Verizon has said it must be a setting on the BES or his provisioning. His BES Admin said they don't restrict anything and that it must be a setting on the device itself.

Can anyone help me? Thank you!

Have you tried doing a hard reset by removing/reinserting the battery? That clears up a lot of flaky phone issues.

I've never seen anywhere in the BES IT Policy where the caller ID can be manipulated like that.....

Thanks for your quick response and yes, he has tried that. I'm on my 3rd BB and have never seen this happen and I have tried to look at every setting that I can think of on his phone. We have called Verizon a few times and we get nothing except directed to his BES admin. Very strange...

go to options=>security options=>general settings and disable content protection
