Need some setting up my unlocked AT&T 8300 to work with Walmart Family Mobile. I cant' make phone calls or send texts.

It doesn't connect to a Network with the sim card in. What steps do I need to take to get it up and running?

The phone was unlocked successfully with help from AT&T. They gave me the unlock code and the steps to unlock it.

Using the "Search" button at the top of every page, I found this thread -> http://www.blackberryforums.com/carr...-t-mobile.html which leads me to believe that you can't do data using the Walmart Family Plan

From what I have heard, the Wal-Mart plans do not support BBs and they do not offer a BB dataplan.

If the 8300 is unlocked, you might be able to get voice and SMS service, but I am not sure about that. Probably a question for Wal-Mart.

Read the FAQ or use the SEARCH feature for more info on unlocking a GSM device.

I'm unable to make calls or send texts. Not concerned with data or internet at the moment.

The phone is already unlocked. I got the unlock code from AT&T and unlocked it successfully. I put my Walmart Family Moble sim card in and can't make calls.

Any clues to get me going?
