Lightbulb Beyond411 migrated to a new server, apologies for the downtime

Please Login to Remove!

Beyond411 (aka Berry411) is now running on a new, faster dual core server.

I'd like to apologize for the downtime during the transition. A combination of an overloaded old server plus some kinks migrating to the new server led to more downtime that I'd hoped for.

I'm also aware that some of you have been having issues with GPS lookup. Now that the migration is complete, I will have a chance to look into that.

One other request Phil, can you look into having the results sort by distance? That means the closest one to you should be at the top (clarifying)...

Also Phil, I think the GPS has something to do with activating the GPS portion of the device. I notice if I do a manual GPS refresh then 411 will work just fine. I also notice if I leave a map open (which turns on the GPS) then 411 will work just fine. When I get the no GPS error is after it has set for a while and the GPS hasn't refreshed recently.

But when I get the error I can usually do a manual GPS refresh and 411 will work... These are my observations...
