Default Alarm Did Not Go Off

Please Login to Remove!

I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this for me.

This morning was the first time that my alarm did not go off on my 8310. It was set for I never un-set it. And I didn't miss it because my wife, who always wakes up to my alarm, did not hear it either.

I checked the event log (warnings) and this is what was listed:

Name: Alarm
Severity: Warning
GUID: 618624ce1e51f3
Time: Aug 07, 2008 05:20:00
Stale Alarm

I can't believe a Google search came up with nothing about this warning.

Again, any insight would be nice. Thanks.
Will

Dunno, but try a battery pull to start with, to reset the BB. It might have got into an odd state, especially if you use add-on applications.

I've done the battery pull. Hopefully no more issues. I've added no addt'l software to it either. Its basically my phone and alarm clock and my occasional news reader. I've also tried to clear out most of the memory as well.

I'm just thankful my wife's alarm goes off 15 minutes after mine

Yeah I had the same problem with my alarm. Went out and bought an alarm clock cause I didn't want to take a chance with it not going off the next morning. After a battery pull it works fine. Still have the alarm clock set just in case.

There has been one occasion so far *Knocks on wood* where my Blackberry did not go off, of course I set my normal alarm that day just in case and I am very grateful I did. After a battery everything was back to normal.

Hmmmm. That's not good. I've never had an issue with an alarm on a BB device. Very surprising, actually.

Default B Alarmed

That happened to me this morning. Thus, leading me to research the incident. It happened once before, but I thought, like you that I had slept through it. However, I noticed that an email came in at the same time; not sure if that is a coincidence or the suspect. Seems to me the snooze should've kicked in. The investigation continues.

Still got my brickbreaker score 24,310; flipped board and died at level 12.

I've never had this happen. If you're not running the latest OS, I'd upgrade to the latest. It may be a bug they've already addressed.
