Default Desktop Manage & Multiple Blackberries

Please Login to Remove!

Is it ok to have multiple BB updated through the same desktop manage on the same computer?

BUT, be careful IF you have different BB models... as it could install 3rd part apps intended for a different model.

It will install the apps to all models if you installed the app via an .alx/.cod file.

You can do multiple BB's easily with Desktop Manager if you install for BIS use. If you install for BES/Redirector use make sure that you tell Desktop Manager to "prompt" for the email profile to be used.

This went over my head...
Can you tell me the difference between BIS and BES? And how would I go about prompting DM to do that? I was looking through the Options menu but no such luck...

Let's go back to the beginning for a second...
When you said you wanted to "update multiple BlackBerry devices" ... what exactly do you mean by update?
I was assuming you just wanted to upgrade the handheld OS on them.
Are you looking to do something else?

Nope thats what I originally meant, just OS. But now that its out there I realized I would probably use it for everything... Can I do that? Also, since the question is out there whats the difference between BES and BIS I think it was?
