I have searched the boards for a solution, but its a no go.

I wiped my bb using jl cmder, but when I click apploader and it goes through its process, it returns with this message "No software update is required for your device".

I don't even have an OS installed and get that message. Its been wiped. On my screen is the cassette with the circle around it and 507 below it. So there is no OS installed.

The vendorID file has also been deleted. Has anyone seen this one before?

What OS are you running on your PC.

I'm running Vista

That would be the problem, I have tried for months, move to an XP PC and it works without a problem.

Kind of strange though. Especially being that I have installed at least 5 OS on my bb through this same computer running Vista.

I would double check that Vendor.XML file

That vendor.xml file is gone. I just checked again. Its not there.

Same here beleive me I tried and have also upgraded numerous times. At one point it just won't work anymore.

Thanks Zerog. You're right. Even though I have done numerous upgrades on my laptop running Vista, It won't allow me to upgrade anymore.

I tried it on XP and it worked without a flaw. Stupid Vista!!
