What kind of adapter is it (USB or a microSD2SD adapter)? Did you get a notification of new hardware being found? Also irregardless of the answer to that question try doing this:

1. Right click on My Computer and go to Manage.
2. Click on Disk Management.
3. Look to see if it shows up in the list of drives. It will show as removable media.

Did it show the drive?

It seems you're talking about adding files from your computer. It will show up as a new drive, removable disk. First you need to format it in your BB, then you will find a folder on the card music or whatever you want to add.

Make sure your phone is compatible with that size card. BB os 4.2 only supports 2GB card.

Can you access it from your PC? There are fakes being sold on eBay that don't have memory or have an exaggerated capacity.
