I have access to two Z10s and they are both exhibiting the same issue.
On initial connection to the WiFi they work just fine for about 5 minutes and then, despite them still showing connected, all internet access either slows to an unusable crawl or just stops working.
Turning the WiFi off and then on again restarts everything for the 5 minute period again.
The OS has recently been upgraded to 10.1.0.273, not that it has made any difference.
I have no access to change the settings on the WiFi access points and everything else that connects to the access points works just fine.

The access point here in work is a NetGear WN604. the Z10 was fine last night at home connected to my EE router, I will check again when I go home as to the state of play. My boss will check his when he goes home, it's the standard BT Infinity Home hub.

Had the same issue on the legacy OS for years, before I figured it out...and the Z10 does the same thing as well.
Here's what I discovered - on certain wireless devices, ie; WAPS, Routers etc...the BlackBerry has an issue when the WiFi password uses a lot of characters...
I had two networks stored for my home; my primary SSID and my guest network. My primary SSID was setup for a 50-character password while my guest network used 9. Never had an issue with the guest network, but the primary would connect, and then die after a few minutes. It drove me crazy, until I figured it out. Both networks used the same hardware, but were on two different subnets. It took me a very long time to figure the problem out, but that was what it was.
I don't know if you're having this same issue, but I'd start there. Try removing your wireless security to start (from the wireless network) and see if that works. Assuming it does with no issue, next step would be to change the WiFi password to something around 4-6 characters and increase from there until you experience the problem.
Your issue sure sounds like mine was...

Apart from the fact that I am not able to make any changes to the works AP settings to test the theory, my home uses a longer key than work. Work uses 10 characters, home is 13.
The symptoms are shown on two devices on both the work network and a BT home hub based network. My EE provided router works just fine.
