Default Help me please

Please Login to Remove!

I am going over seas , and i bought a black berry storm 9530 that is not active at the moment , i am trying to add arabic through on of these multi lanugages OS upgrade , but after installing the blackberry desktop manager and downloading and installing the OS upgrade , i couldn't find the vendor.*** to delete or the apploader.exe.
trying to upgrade through desktop it doesn't let met.
Do i need to have my phone active when i upgrade it ?
Can someone please let me know how to upgrade " an idiot step by step guide will be awesome " i am noob when it comes to blackberry
on my programe files there is no Research In Motion folder , it's in programe files (x86) and in there , there are only blackberry folder and BlackBerry Media Sync folder with no vendor.*** or apploader . exe
i unistalled and installed so many desktop managers and all the same
I am using windows 7

I am pretty sure unless the phone is activated you can not upgrade anything. I would activate the phone then try upgrading it, you should be ok to go at that point.

Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader

The phone doesn't need to be active unless trying to upgrade to 5.0.

I am aactually trying to upgrade to latest 5.0 multi language so i can add arabic :P

To upgrade to 5.0 you need to have a BlackBerry data plan active.
