Default Random keys stopped working?

Please Login to Remove!

I know this happens a lot when phones get damaged or wet but mine was neither. I literally set it down for a while, came back to it and several keys aren't working. This wouldn't be that big of a deal but both my ball click, blackberry button and enter keys all stopped working so I'm nearly crippled. Is there anything I can try? I tried searching but I can never get the right syntax. :(

Wirelessly posted (90000/9530; 15020.945.x14)

You can try drying it out! You may think it didn't get wet, but it might have gotten "moist" in even a steamy room or bath.
I've seen it too many times. Take the battery out and follow the FAQ suggestions.

I have seen this many times on my 8320. First it was the "G' then it was the "T'. I upgraded the OS and that seemed to have solved the problem.

OK, I tried out the drying techniques and nothing. Then magically I woke up today and all was well for about 4 hours. Now it's worse than it was before. Any other suggestions? I'd hate to have to replace my phone. :(

You're probably going to have to replace it. You could try an OS upgrade like rifleman recommended but I don't really think it will help. The 8310 is a piece of junk (which is why carriers give them away for free). I've seen this problem a lot with them.

I also have the same problems, it works for some hours after drying or put it in my jeans pocket for 10 minutes. I also wiped the OS and reinstall OS, not useful.

So what's going on? Somebody has the experience?

Thanks.

Did it get exposed to ANY moisture? Even a small amount?

This happened to my 8320. Everything was completely unresponsive - I missed a refrigerator delivery because I couldn't answer the phone to tell the delivery people I was home. The phone was COMPLETELY unresponsive.

I let it be for 24 hours or so, and it started working again, minus a few keys. I let it sit another 12 hours and everything worked again, and it's worked for the last 3 months.

So... time may take care of it, but if you don't have a spare you will be without a phone. No idea what the problem was with mine but it did eventually recover.

I am sure the root cause is not the moisture because I never exposied it in moisture or got wet.
So my way is to use a dryer to blow BB every week to make sure damn issue not coming again.
