I am having problems with my otterbox defender case for a storm II. I bought 2 cases for 2 storms and have gone through 3 new cases because they keep breaking. The dimple where the holster holds the case keeps breaking in half, so the case no longer holds the phone any longer. It is always on the side next to the charging port. Is anyone else having this problem with this case?

I had the same problem with the new Defender case for the Bold 9700. They sent me three cases before I said forget it. Give me a refund. I have been using Otterbox cases for my 8700, 8110, 8310 and 9000. All were great. The new design doesn't have enough of a pocket for the phone to rest in and the two clips isn't enough to hold it in. They wore out after 2-3 weeks. They were always happy to send me a new one, but it fell out once and I didn't know it. My wife saw it and told me. The protection of the case is great, but useless if the holster isn't as tough.

They told me this is the first they heard of any problem.
I was told by an AT&T friend that they had major problems with the Defender for iPhones. If you haven't already, please call and let them know of your problem.

The only thing I can think is they are trying to cut cost and save onluy plastic, but they have to be losing more in sending out replacements.

I really miss the protection and will buy again if the holstwr is improved.

This is obviously a poor design of the holster part. I've yet to see a strong holster design and I've stopped using them after many years and a couple of 'accidents'. I almost bought this case for the protection but nobody ahs a strong enough holster clip that can withstand daily abuse from sitting and standing.
