My BB Bold recently had to be wiped, so that I had to re-install google maps.

It's not a big issue, but the google maps icon on the home screen no longer animates when I roll the cursor over it - the map icon used to change to a flattened look.

Also, the border around the icon (to indicate where the cursor is) is now BLUE, whereas that border is white for ALL the other apps on my BB.

Any ideas why this might be? Works fine; just curious about this.

I have the same problem with Viigo app.
It usually "highlights" itself white and green, but unhighlighted its just the ordinary icon.
To fix that, I go into the app, let it download the latest stuff etc, close it, and it now highlights correctly.

I havent had a problem with my google maps icon.

Battery pull? see if that works?
And upgrade Google maps to 3.0.2

with viigo, i find that if the app is running in the back, it highlights fine... i havent found a fix for googlemaps yet

Ok. I noticed after I got out of the shower earlier today that it works fine now. The blueish around the icon is what the icon looks with the transparencies layered.( It makes more sense if you have made themes before)

But I noticed that after a few rollovers and opening and closing it, its doing just dandy again

This might be theme dependent. They replace standard icon sets with their own so to better match the theme.
