The profiles icon is missing in my blackberry Bold 9000, thus I cannot access to the profile application to set different options available, how do I reinstall?

Not sure if this is the issue, but check out this kbase at BlackBerry Technical Solution Center

They say this is a "known issue". the workaround is to do a batterry reset( remove battery for 30 seconds) of the device...hope this helps

I'm sure you looked at this, but did you hide it? try bb>show all. Also, try changing themes to see if it pops up.
